摘要

Abstract

The safety risks of lithium-sulfur battery in practical application scenarios,especially under abuse conditions,hinder its industrialization.In accordance with GJB 2374A—2013 Safety Requirements for Lithium Batteries,the safety performance of lithium-sulfur cell under multiple conditions is evaluated,including electrical abuse(external short circuit),mechanical abuse(vibration,impact,drop,crush,needle penetration),and environmental abuse(thermal shock,high-temperature storage,direct flame exposure).During a 50 mΩ external short-circuit test,the battery exhibits no fire or explosion.After mechanical abuse,the battery maintains structural integrity with stable voltage and temperature(peaking at only 25℃),showing no signs of thermal runaway.Only minor voltage fluctuations and a temperature rise of approximately 4℃are observed during the needle penetration test.The battery shows no failure after 75℃thermal shock and 28 d high-temperature storage at 55℃.
