On the Scientific Construction of the Independent Knowledge System of Chinese Vocational Education Studies

Abstract
The clarification of the concept of the independent knowledge system of Chinese vocational education studies is not only an epistemological prerequisite for disciplinary legitimacy,but also an era-endowed proposition for vocational education in the context of building China into a leading country in education.Adopting conceptual analysis and genetic analysis methodology,this study systematically constructs the logical structure of the concept.The connotation of this concept is redefined within a three-dimensional framework of ontology,epistemology and axiology.Ontologically,it exists as disciplinarily normalized practical knowledge;epistemologically,it follows the generative logic of the triple transformation from practice to knowledge and then to discipline;axiologically,it takes serving the autonomous practice of Chinese vocational education and participating in the reconstruction of the global vocational education knowledge order as its dual purposes.The denotation of the concept develops vertically from knowledge points to theories and then to ideological systems,and horizontally covers the whole process of knowledge production,dissemination and application,forming an interconnected two-dimensional conceptual network.The demarcation of its disciplinary boundaries requires clarifying knowledge distinctions between vocational education studies and adjacent disciplines such as general pedagogy,economics and sociology,with the core criteria lying in the formation laws of technical and skilled knowledge and the cross-disciplinary integration paradigm.The concept complies with the dialectical unity of three logics:regularity,value rationality and purposiveness.Its future evolution presents three developmental transitions:from the indigenization of imported concepts to the generation of original concepts,from institution-driven disciplinary development to paradigm-shift-driven advancement,and from a Chinese version to world-shared knowledge.This study provides fundamental conceptual tools and an analytical framework for the construction of the independent knowledge system of Chinese vocational education studies.关键词
