摘要

Abstract

The ultra-narrow gap flux-belt confined arc welding is a novel welding method for achieving high-quality narrow gap connections in thick metal materials by using a specially designed flux-belt to constrain the arc climb,stabilize the arc,and protect the molten pool.It has broad application prospects in fields such as shipbuilding,oil and gas pipeline construc-tion,and energy industry.This paper reviews and summarizes the relevant research and achievements of ultra-narrow gap flux-belt confined arc welding in China,and provides a comprehensive review from welding process parameters and other aspects.Based on the above analysis and investigation,the difficulties in the ultra-narrow gap flux-belt confined arc welding process are analyzed,the technical features and some urgent problems of the welding process are introduced,and the devel-opment prospects of the flux-belt welding technology for narrow gap are summarized and discussed.
