Dynamic Operating Envelope Calculation of Virtual Power Plants Considering Distributed Resource Output Characteristics

Abstract
With the continuous development of new power systems,virtual power plants can aggregate large-scale distributed resources to participate in optimized scheduling and market transactions.However,the massive number of distributed resources connected to the distribution network creates an urgent power flow security issue that needs to be addressed.To address this issue,this paper first analyzes the output characteristics of distributed resources at active nodes in the distribution network,accurately characterizing the initial active and reactive output ranges of the nodes.Secondly,the information exchange process between the distribution network operator and the virtual power plants is designed with practical operational considerations in mind.A vertex search method is then used to construct a node output point set and perform power flow verification to determine if the output exceeds the limit.Subsequently,a power reduction model is constructed based on the node voltage/line power sensitivity coefficient,and the power reduction is performed at the exceeding-limit points to obtain the node's dynamic operating envelope.Finally,an operating envelope redistribution method is proposed that considers the different ownership of node resources.A case study demonstrates the effectiveness and fairness of the proposed operating envelope calculation method.关键词
