Abstract

Traditional reflective array antennas have problems of narrow profile height and bandwidth.Based on the flexible regulation ability of electromagnetic waves by electromagnetic metasurface,a dual-arrow reflection unit with polarization conversion function is designed using subwavelength and multi-resonant structure methods.This unit can achieve efficient polarization conversion throughout the Ku frequency band and is equipped with a specific delay phase.Combining metallized via technology and the working principle of magnetoelectric dipoles,a low-profile mag-netoelectric dipole feed source is designed to enhance the overall integration of the antenna.A wideband folded re-flector array antenna operating in the Ku band with a profile height of only 1.8 working wavelengths is completed.The test results are basically consistent with the simulation results.The test results show that the maximum gain of the antenna is 24.2 dBi,the aperture efficiency is 37%,and the cross-polarization level is below-20 dB within the op-erating frequency band.When the center frequency point is 15 GHz,its 1 dB relative gain bandwidth is 26%(13.3~17.2 GHz).
