Preparation and radiative cooling performance of PLA/ZrO2 layered nonwoven fabrics

Abstract
Radiative cooling has the characteristics of no energy consumption,green environmental pro-tection,and sustainability,and can achieve independent cooling of textiles.Polylactic acid(PLA)nonwo-ven fabric and zirconia(ZrO2)are used to prepare a layered PLA/ZrO2 nonwoven fabric with radiative cooling performance through combining direct deposition method and thermal bonding technology.The appearance,mechanical properties,hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity,and radiative cooling performance of the layered PLA/ZrO2 nonwoven fabric are studied.The results show that the layered PLA/ZrO2 non-woven fabric has a stable overall structure,with water contact angles greater than 100°,exhibiting good hydrophobic properties.The stress of composite nonwoven fabrics gradually increases with the increase of weight and number of layers.The reflectivity and infrared emissivity of layered PLA/ZrO2 nonwoven fabric in the atmospheric window increase with the increase of ZrO2 content in the fabric,but decrease with the increase of weight and number of layers of the nonwoven fabric;In outdoor tests with high hu-midity(60%-85%),the radiation cooling effect of the sample is significant,with a maximum temperature lower than the ambient temperature of 5.36℃.关键词
