Analysis of Shell Vibration Characteristics Under Typical Mechanical Faults of Simulated Switchgear

Abstract
Latent mechanical defects in the switchgear,if not addressed promptly,may induce insulation breakdowns and other related electrical failures,posing a significant threat to the operational safety and reliability of the power grid.To investigate the vibration characteristics under mechanical fault conditions,a simplified experimental platform is built to simulate three typical mechanical faults,including foreign object intrusion,bolt loosening,and poor contact,to analyze the characteristics and variations of enclosure vibration signals under different conditions.Coupled magnetic-structural simulations are conducted to obtain the electromagnetic and vibration response characteristics,and the vibration mechanism from a microscopic perspective is further explained.The study results show that the vibration amplitude of the enclosure is proportional to the square of the current.Under the fault conditions,the amplitude decreases,waveform distortion becomes evident,and the features such as burrs,spikes,and high-order harmonics appear.Structural parameters and magnetic field differences lead to distinct vibration responses,primarily due to changes in energy transmission characteristics.This study expands the current understanding of mechanical failures in the switchgear and confirms the feasibility of vibration-based condition monitoring,offering a valuable reference for fault detection and prevention.关键词
