Abstract

Under the dual background of the"Healthy China 2030"plan and the New Engineering initiative,strengthening technological innovation in the healthcare sector and promoting the medical-engineering integration have become important directions for reform in medical education.Cultivating interdisciplinary talents with expertise in both medicine and engineering is the key to achieving this goal.Currently,medical colleges and universities generally face significant challenges in cultivating talents in engineering-related programs,including difficulties in integrating disciplines and knowledge systems,insufficient collaborative education mechanisms and resource integration,a lack of interdisciplinary faculty and teaching capacity,and underdeveloped evaluation systems and standardization.Taking the Medical Information Engineering program at the School of Informatics,Hunan University of Chinese Medicine as an example,this paper proposes a social demand-oriented and multi-party collaborative cultivation model for interdisciplinary talents based on medical-engineering integration.This model integrates teaching and research resources from both medicine and engineering,establishes multi-dimensional collaborative mechanisms,including medical-education collaboration,science-education collaboration,and industry-university-research collaboration.It aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with cross-disciplinary integration ability and innovative practical competence,thereby providing sustainable talent support for the innovative development of the healthcare sector.
