Abstract

To enhance the detonation performance of CL-20-based composite explosives,the composite fuel consisting of pol-yvinylidene fluoride-coated aluminum diboride(AlB2@PVDF)and highly reactive aluminum-lithium alloy powder(AlLi2)were introduced into CL-20-based cast and pressed explosive systems,respectively.Systematically tests were conducted on the com-patibility,stability,mechanical sensitivity,heat of detonation,velocity of detonation,and static explosion shockwave over-pressure of the composite fuel with other explosive components.Comparisons were made with traditional CL-20-based alumi-nized explosives containing the same mass fraction of fuel.The results indicate good compatibility between the composite fuel and both explosive systems,with vacuum stability meeting requirements.The mechanical sensitivity of the explosives containing the composite fuel is slightly higher than that of aluminized counterparts but remains below 40%,satisfing practical application needs.Compared to aluminized explosives with equal fuel mass,the heat of detonation for the cast and pressed systems contai-ning the composite fuel increased by 8.20%and 13.09%,respectively,while the velocity of detonation increased by 41 m/s and 91 m/s,respectively.Static explosion experiments further showed that the shockwave overpressure generated by both sys-tems containing the composite fuel at the same distance were higher than that of the corresponding aluminized explosives,par-ticularly notable in the near field:the cast system exhibited an approximately 30.7%increase in overpressure at 2m,and the pressed system showed an approximately 8.3%increase.
