Abstract
Objective To analyze the changing trends in mortality rates and years of probability of premature death due to four types of chronic diseases(cardiovascular diseases,cancer,chronic respiratory diseases,and diabetes)among registered residents in Hongkou District of Shanghai from 2004 to 2022,to provide reference for further improving the comprehensive prevention and control system of chronic diseases.Methods The four main causes of death from chronic diseases among registered residents in Hongkou District of Shanghai from 2004 to 2022 were collected,with indicators such as crude mortality rate,composition ratio,standardized mortality rate,and probability of premature death calculated.A Joinpoint regression model was used to analyze temporal trends.Results From 2004 to 2022,the crude mortality rates and proportions of four major chronic diseases among registered residents in Hongkou District showed an upward trend,while the standardized mortality rates exhibited a downward trend from 2004 to 2021.Specifically,the crude mortality rates for malignant tumors,diabetes,and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases all increased,whereas the crude mortality rate for chronic respiratory diseases decreased.Among the standardized mortality rates,malignant tumors and chronic respiratory diseases showed a decline,while the trends for diabetes and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were statistically insignificant(P>0.05).The early mortality probability for the four major chronic diseases in the general population decreased from 10.73%to 9.75%,with malignant tumors and chronic respiratory diseases showing a downward trend in early mortality probability,while the trends for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes were statistically insignificant.Conclusion From 2004 to 2022,the composition ratio of four chronic diseases and crude mortality rates among registered residents in Hongkou District of Shanghai showed an upward trend,while standardized mortality rates and the probability of premature death exhibited a downward trend.Males should be prioritized as key populations for early diagnosis,treatment,and management of chronic diseases in Hongkou District,with particular emphasis on addressing premature deaths from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes among males..关键词
