Impact of paternal perinatal depression on the development of infants and toddlers
摘要
Abstract
Paternal perinatal depression not only affects the mental and physical health of fathers,but may also has significant impacts on the development of infants and toddlers.To understand the potential effects of paternal depres-sive symptoms on infants and toddlers' development,this study aimed to review the current domestic and interna-tional research on the impact of paternal perinatal depression on the development of infants and toddlers.The findings indicated that paternal perinatal depression can potentially influence various aspects of infant development,including cognition,language,emotion,behavior and motor skills,through both direct and indirect pathways.However,the re-search results may vary due to differences in sample characteristics,measurement tools,assessment methods,timing of evaluation,and cultural contexts.Future research can explore the underlying complex mechanisms of the impact of paternal perinatal depression on infant and toddler development from multiple perspectives and by integrating various factors,and develop effective intervention measures to promote the healthy growth of infants and toddlers.关键词
