Revitalization and Application of Vernacular Building Materials under the Ecological Protection of the Qinling Mountains:A Case Study of the White-Barked Pine Display Stand Design for the Wang Wei Art Festival in Wangchuan Town

Abstract
The Qinling Mountains are regarded as a vital ecological security barrier and an important cultural symbol in China.Tang Dynasty poet Wang Wei retreated to Wangchuan,where he built his estate and created the Wangchuan Tu and Wangchuan Ji.This paper addresses the issue of white-barked pine(Pinus bungeana Zucc.ex Endl.)overproduction in Wangchuan Town,situated at the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains,and explores the revitalized use and creative application of vernacular building materials through the intervention of ecological art.By analyzing the local cultural heritage and the current state of the white-barked pine industry,the study proposes low-tech,locally adaptive strategies for repurposing surplus materials.Focusing on the design and implementation of white-barked pine display stands for the Wang Wei Art Festival,the research demonstrates how artistic application of vernacular materials can synergistically respond to ecological protection and cultural heritage transmission in the Qinling Region,offering valuable insights for the sustainable development of this and other similar areas.关键词
