Abstract

Exploring the inherent needs and preferences of forest farmers towards climate change adaptation behavior is of great significance for enhancing their enthusiasm and promoting the sustainable development of economic forests.Based on the survey data of 234 forest farmers in Shanxi Province,the selection experiment method was used to identify the preferences and sources of heterogeneity of forest farmers'climate change ad-aptation behaviors with the help of the stochastic parameter Logit model.The research results indicate that for-est farmers are generally willing to participate in climate adaptation programs and have preference heterogenei-ty;In addition to self construction facilities,forest farmers have preferences for purchasing insurance,pre-pre-vention technology,post-remediation technology,changing varieties and migrant work behavior;Forest farmers have heterogeneous preferences for purchasing insurance,pre-prevention techniques,post-remediation tech-niques,and migrant work behavior,while their preferences for changing varieties are consistent;Gender,risk preference,planting years,planting scale,whether they own agricultural machinery,the proportion of eco-nomic forest income,the degree of disaster,the frequency of consultation,and whether they participate in risk technology prevention and control training are the factors that lead to the heterogeneity of forest farmers'prefer-ences.
