Abstract
A complex shore-tower vertical shaft structure of a reservoir in Yunnan Province is equipped with multiple intake openings arranged in a staggered manner both horizontally and vertically. The structure features a complicated configuration, steep bank slopes, and complex stress conditions, resulting in prominent concerns regarding its overall stability.Based on the finite element software ANSYS and secondary development using APDL,a three-dimensional numerical model of the vertical shaft-bedrock system was established. The modal superposition response spectrum method was adopted to analyze the three-dimensional dynamic response characteristics of the structure and to evaluate its seismic stability. The results show that under seismic loads in different directions, the maximum displacement occurs at the top of the shaft, while the maximum tensile and compressive stresses appear near the lowest intake-outlet opening. Both displacement and stress values satisfy the requirements of hydraulic engineering seismic design codes. The findings provide an important reference for the design of vertical shaft structures in this reservoir project.关键词
