Research Progress on Colonization of the Intestinal Tract of Young Ruminants by Lactobacillus and Its Effects on Intestinal Health

Abstract
The juvenile stage is a critical window for microbial colonization and gastrointestinal development in ruminants,and probiotic colonization during this period is crucial for the digestive health and subsequent growth and development of the animals.Lactobacillus represents the dominant probiotic in the intestines of young ruminants,making its early colonization particularly important.This article systematically reviews the colonization patterns of Lactobacillus in the intestines of young ruminants,including its spatial distribution in different sections of the gut and dynamic changes with age.It analyzes key carbon and nitrogen nutrients affecting its colonization and growth,such as dietary fiber,oligosaccharides,amino acids,and small peptides,and discusses the effects of Lactobacillus on gut microecological balance,immune regulation,and barrier function.The review aims to promote a deeper understanding of the colonization mechanisms and functions of Lactobacillus and provide insights for regulating gut microecological health in juvenile ruminants.关键词
