Sinicization of Self-Care Confidence Index for ACHD and its reliability and validity test

Abstract
Objective:To translate the Self-Care Confidence Index for ACHD into Chinese and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:The scale was translated and back-translated based on the modified Brislin translation model.Chinese version of Self-Care Confidence Index for ACHD was conducted by cross-cultural adjustment and pre-investigation.From September 2023 to November 2024,a total of 225 adult patients with congenital heart disease who were recruited at the heart center of a tertiary grade A hospital in Guangzhou city,were selected as the research subjects,to test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of scale.Results:The Chinese version of Self-Care Confidence Index for ACHD consisted of 6 items.The scale-level content validity index(S-CVI)was 0.988.The item-level content validity index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.927 to 1.000.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.83.The test-retest reliability was 0.95.Rasch model analysis demonstrated favorable validity,reliability,and separation properties of the scale.Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that all fit indices were within normal ranges.Conclusions:The Chinese version of the Self-Care Confidence Index for ACHD exhibits good reliability and validity and could be used to test self-care confidence in Chinese adults with congenital heart disease.关键词
