Abstract

A novel nickel-based catalyst was characterized using XRD,H2-TPR,and NH3-TPD,and its performance in mixed C4 saturation hydrogenation was evaluated.The experimental results indicate that the catalyst possesses highly dispersed nickel active sites,an appropriate acid distribution,and a stable structural framework.Under simulated industrial conditions,the catalyst exhibits a wide operating window.At an inlet temperature of 30-50℃,reaction pressure of 1.5-2.5 MPa,H2/fresh feed volume ratio of no less than 200∶1,weight hourly space velocity of 0.40-0.85 h-1,and a wide range of feed dilution ratios,the conversion of unsaturated hydrocarbons exceeds 99.9%.During a long-term operation of 1 200 h,the average conversion of unsaturated hydrocarbons reaches 99.93%.The catalyst also demonstrates good tolerance to oxygen-containing impurities in the feedstock.Even with an ethyl ether content as high as 3 000 mg/kg,the unsaturated hydrocarbon conversion remains above 99%,and the catalyst can be fully regenerated through thermal hydrogen stripping.
