Exploring the Mechanism of Ginsenoside in the Treatment of Gastric Cancer Based on the Theory of"Supporting Health and Eliminating Pathogens"

Abstract
Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract in the world.The morbidity and mortality of gastric cancer are particularly prominent in Asia,Africa,South America and other regions.Although modern medicine has made significant progress in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer,the high recurrence rate,strong toxic and side effects,and poor quality of life still seriously affect the treatment effect.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of gastric cancer is closely related to the deficiency of qi and the dysfunction of spleen and stomach,and the internal invasion of pathogenic toxins and the mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis are the key links of the pathological development.Therefore,"supporting health and eliminating pathogens"has become an important theoretical guidance for the treatment of gas-tric cancer in traditional Chinese medicine.The theory of"supporting health and eliminating pathogens"in traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)advocates that by enhancing the body's healthy qi and eliminating pathogenic factors,the overall regulation and anti-tumor goal can be achieved.Ginseng is a representative of traditional tonic Chinese medicine.Ginsenosides,as the repre-sentative active ingredients in ginseng,have shown good prospects in anti-gastric cancer research in recent years.Therefore,based on the theory of"supporting health and eliminating pathogens",this article systematically reviews the mechanism of ginsen-oside in inhibiting the proliferation,inducing apoptosis,regulating cell cycle,inhibiting invasion and metastasis and enhancing im-mune function of gastric cancer cells,and discusses the combination of ginsenoside with chemotherapy and radiotherapy,which can not only enhance the curative effect,but also reduce toxic and side effects and reverse the drug resistance process.It further reflects the clinical value of synergistic synergism and attenuation,and provides a new strategy and scientific basis for the preven-tion and treatment of gastric cancer with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.关键词
