故宫养心殿佛塔铜鎏金饰件清洗方法研究
Research on the cleaning methods for gilt copper ornaments from the Buddhist pagoda in the Hall of Mental Cultivation of the Palace Museum

Abstract
This study focuses on the cleaning methods for gilt copper ornaments from the Buddhist pagoda in the Hall of Mental Cultivation of the Palace Museum.Preliminary scientific analysis revealed the presence of black deposits and cuprous oxide corrosion on the surfaces of the ornaments.Based on condition assessment,phased cleaning experiments were designed to systematically compare the effectiveness of two different carriers:paper pulp poultice and agar gel.In the first phase,2A solution and non-ionic surfactants were applied through both carriers to remove surface deposits.In the second phase,three chelating agents(EDTA,citric acid,and potassium sodium tartrate)were applied through both carriers to remove corrosion products.The results demonstrate that the agar gel carrier method offered advantages in cleaning effectiveness,controllability,and environmental performance,providing scientific guidance for developing cleaning protocols for gilt copper cultural relics.关键词
