Automatic CAD and Monte Carlo Modeling of Large-scale Urban Buildings Based on GIS Data

Abstract
A program named GIS2MC based on the geographic information system(GIS)-computer-aided design(CAD)and Monte Carlo(MC)integrated modeling approach has been developed to efficiently generate large-scale cosRMC models of urban buildings,enhancing the efficiency of radiation field modeling.The program takes GIS data in a standard format as input,parses the data with the GeoPandas package,and generates CAD models of urban building modules and Monte Carlo models through Python's standard libraries and the pythonOCC geometric core.The results show that GIS2MC can process up to tens of thousands of urban building outlines in a single run,generating CAD and MC models without any geometric errors or loss of building volume.It also includes additional features such as modeling area selection based on GIS data,preprocessing building contours,and automatic configuration of materials and internal structures for the Monte Carlo model.关键词
