Abstract
To support the high-rate and high-reliability requirements of 6G,the evolution of channel coding technology is an indispensable approach for achieving performance gains.In particular,improving the reliability of control channels is a key prerequisite for ensuring efficient data-channel transmission.Unlike data channels,control channels involve many short-block-length transmission scenarios.However,existing 5G systems mainly adopt Reed-Muller codes for short-code-block coding,which suffer from insufficient robustness in rate matching.Moreover,the coherent transmission mechanism on which they rely still leaves considerable room for improvement in transmission efficiency and coverage performance.Accordingly,this paper first reviews the short-code channel coding design in 5G systems.Then,to address its limitations,an enhanced rate-matching method for Reed-Muller codes and a novel sequence-based coding scheme are further proposed.Simulation results show that,compared with the 5G baseline scheme,the proposed schemes achieve significant improvements in both robustness and transmission performance.关键词
