Abstract
This study reported the preparation and characterization of modified bamboo fiber reinforced polydicyclopentadi-ene(PDCPD)composites using two newly designed and synthesized norbornene-based silane coupling agents,designat-ed as NAC2SC and NAC6SC.The natural bamboo fibers were surface-modified with these coupling agents to improve interfacial compatibility with the PDCPD matrix.The effects of modified bamboo fiber addition on the mechanical and thermal properties of the resulting composites were systematically investigated.The results demonstrate that both silane coupling agents successfully modified the bamboo fiber surface,leading to enhanced composite performance.Compared with unmodified PDCPD,the modified bamboo fiber/PDCPD composites exhibit a 15%increase in flexural modulus and a 44%increase in impact strength,while maintaining both tensile and flexural strengths.When the modified bam-boo fiber loading reaches 5 wt%,the composites show significant increases in storage modulus and loss factor,along with an elevation in glass transition temperature from 108℃to 119℃,indicating excellent thermal stability.These find-ings highlight the potential of norbornene-based silane coupling agents for developing high-performance natural fiber rein-forced polymer composites with improved mechanical and thermal properties.关键词
