Abstract
Hypokalemia,as a prevalent clinical electrolyte disorder,involves complex processes in comprehensive assessment,diagnosis,and management.Its presentation is often atypical in elderly populations,frequently leading to delayed diagnosis and treatment.This consensus document,developed by multidisciplinary experts in general practice,endocrinology,cardiology,and related fields,systematically elaborates on the definition,risk stratification,epidemiology,etiology,and pathogenesis of hypokalemia.It provides a comprehensive summary of the diagnostic workflow,including detailed history-taking,physical examination,and evaluation.The consensus delineates individualized treatment principles and specific therapeutic measures,and underscores the importance of community-based management—covering screening,integrated care,and referral mechanisms.Furthermore,it outlines future directions in hypokalemia management,such as the development of intelligent systems and health management frameworks.The document aims to deliver integrated guidance on etiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis,treatment,and community management of hypokalemia,with the goal of shortening diagnostic time,clarifying treatment strategies,improving patients'quality of life,and offering an evidence-based foundation for hospital and community-level hypokalemia care.关键词
