A Survey on the Social Interaction Status of Hearing-Impaired Oral Communicators
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the current status of social interaction among hearing-impaired oral speakers, and to analyze the impact of language barriers on social interaction. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted using the Voice Handicap Index-10(VHI-10)and the Quality of Communication Life(QCL)scale among 370 hearing-impaired oral speakers to analyze the impact of vocal impairment on their social interaction. Results The average VHI-10 score of hearing-impaired oral speakers was 18.44±7.62,indicating an overall moderate level of vocal impairment impact;the total average QCL score was 17.41±6.77,with communication quality of life generally at a moderate level. The lowest score was observed in the daily communication participation dimension, suggesting that their engagement in complex communication scenarios remains relatively weak.Correlation analysis revealed a significant negative correlation between the total VHI-10 score and the total QCL score(r=-0.631,P<0.05),meaning that the more pronounced the perception of vocal impairment, the lower the communication quality of life and the higher the degree of social interaction restriction. Conclusion Language barriers are a significant factor affecting the social interaction of hearing-impaired oral speakers.Efforts should be made from multiple dimensions, including vocal rehabilitation, communication strategy training,auditory-oral rehabilitation, and optimization of social support environments,to enhance their communication participation and social integration.关键词
