Abstract
Objective To analyse the clinical value of scar core excision combined with botulinum toxin type A injection in keloid treatment. Methods Sixty-two keloid patients treated at Nanyang Central Hospital between March 2024 and September 2025 were randomly assigned to an experimental group(31 cases)and a control group(31 cases)using a random number table. The control group underwent scar core excision alone, while the experimental group received combined treatment with botulinum toxin type A.The two groups were compared in terms of therapeutic efficacy,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores,Vancouver Scar Scale(VSS)scores, scar area, scar thickness, serum levels of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),and bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7),as well as quality of life scores. Results The total effective rate was higher in the experimental group than in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Post-treatment,compared with the control group, the experimental group exhibited lower VAS and VSS scores, reduced scar thickness and serum TGF-β1 levels, smaller scar area, higher serum bFGF and BMP-7 levels, and improved quality of life scores, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Combining intralesional scar core excision with botulinum toxin type A injection yields significant efficacy in keloid treatment. This approach alleviates pain, improves scar appearance, reduces scar area and thickness, and promotes scar repair by modulating serum levels of TGF-β1,bFGF,and BMP-7-related factors, thereby enhancing quality of life.关键词
