Abstract
Objective To observe the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment in the postoperative wounds of open fractures.Methods A total of 84 patients with open fractures who visited the orthopedics department of Kaifeng Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2024 to October 2025 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the control group and the observation group based on whether they received traditional Chinese medicine external treatment intervention after surgery.The control group only received conventional postoperative wound management without traditional Chinese medicine external treatment intervention,with 35 cases.The observation group received traditional Chinese medicine external treatment intervention on the basis of conventional postoperative wound management,with 49 cases.The wound healing time,excellent and good rate of wound healing,Visual analogue scale score,Vancouver Scar Scale score,and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results The wound healing time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group,the excellent and good rate of wound healing(95.92%)was higher than that of the control group(77.14%),the Visual analogue scale scores of the observation group at 1 d,3 d,and 7 d after surgery were lower than those of the control group,the Vancouver Scar Scale score of the observation group at 8 weeks after surgery was lower than that of the control group,and the complication rate of the observation group(4.08%)was lower than that of the control group(22.86%),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment in the postoperative wounds of open fractures can achieve good results,promoting wound healing,reducing postoperative pain,minimizing scar formation,and reducing postoperative complications,which is beneficial to the postoperative rehabilitation of patients with open fractures.关键词
