The Effect of Modified Erchen Decoction Combined with Ipratropium Bromide+5％Sodium Chloride Nebulization Induced Sputum Expectoration in the Treatment of Cough with Phlegm-dampness Syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of modified Erchen Decoction combined with Ipratropium Bromide+5％Sodium Chloride nebulization induced sputum expectoration in the treatment of cough with phlegm-dampness syndrome.Method:A total of 150 patients with cough with phlegm-dampness syndrome were selected,all of whom were admitted to Enping Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2024 to January 2025.They were divided into the control group and the study group according to the randomized numerical table method,with 75 cases in each group.The control group used Ipratropium Bromide+5％Sodium Chloride nebulization induced sputum expectoration,the study group was treated with modified Erchen Decoction in addition to the treatment of the control group.Both groups were treated for two weeks.The clinical effects,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores(cough,wheezing,chest distress,runny nose),quality of life,and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of treatment in the control group was 86.67％,which was lower than that of the study group(97.33％)(P<0.05).After the treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the quality of life scores were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The recurrence rates of the study group within 3 months and 6 months after discharge were both lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of modified Erchen Decoction combined with Ipratropium Bromide+5％Sodium Chloride nebulization induced sputum expectoration in the treatment of cough with phlegm-dampness syndrome is significant.It can significantly reduce symptoms,improve quality of life,and has a low recurrence rate.关键词
