Clinical Effect of Modified Chaihu Plus Longgu Muli Decoction Combined with Auricular Point Electric Detection and Pressing and Traditional Chinese Medicine Foot Bath in the Treatment of Insomnia with Shaoyang Pivot Disadvantageous Type

Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of modified Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction combined with auricular point electric detection and pressing and traditional Chinese medicine foot bath in the treatment of insomnia with Shaoyang pivot disadvantageous type.Method:A total of 120 patients with insomnia with Shaoyang pivot disadvantageous type admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Foshan University from January to September 2025 were included.They were divided into groups using the random number table method,with 60 cases in each of the control group and the observation group.The treatment plan for the control group was modified Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction+warm water foot bath.The treatment plan for the observation group was auricular point electric detection and pressing combined with traditional Chinese medicine foot bath on the basis of the modified Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction.Both groups received continuous treatment for 28 days.The TCM syndrome scores,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),self-rating scale of sleep(SRSS),Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS),sleep diary(sleep efficiency,sleep quality self-assessment,total sleep time,daily functional status),and the incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Result:After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores of both groups decreased compared with those before treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of PSQI,SRSS and ESS of both groups decreased compared with those before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the total sleep time of both groups increased compared with that before treatment,and that in the observation group was longer than that in the control group,the sleep efficiency,the scores of sleep quality self-assessment and daytime functional status of both groups were higher than those before treatment,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:For patients with insomnia with Shaoyang pivot disadvantageous type,the modified Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction combined with auricular point electric detection and pressing and traditional Chinese medicine foot bath treatment can improve their sleep condition and quality,and it is also highly safe.关键词
