Research progresses on glucose metabolism reprogramming of osteoblasts

Abstract
Osteoblasts,as the core effector cells in bone tissue engineering,play a crucial role in bone development and homeostasis by mediating osteogenesis and mineralization of bone matrix.In recent years,an increasing number of studies have highlighted the critical interplay between energy metabolic reprogramming and bone formation,where glucose metabolism serves as a central energy pathway.Among them,glucose metabolism is the core pathway for providing energy to osteoblasts and their precursor cells.The activities of glycolysis,the tricarboxylic acid cycle,and oxidative phosphorylation critically regulate osteogenic differentiation and matrix.This article systematically reviews current advances in bone formation from the perspective of glucose metabolism:It examines the dynamic regulatory role of glucose uptake and catabolism in osteogenesis;analyzes the pathological physiological connection of the disruption of the"bone-energy"axis in metabolic disorders;and provides new ideas for precise intervention strategies for metabolism-associated osteoporosis.关键词
