补土伏火法辨治溃疡性结肠炎思路探析
Exploration of the Diagnosis and Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis Using the Method of"Tonifying Earth and Subduing Fire"

Abstract
Ulcerative colitis is a common and challenging disease of the digestive system.Modern medicine employs aminosalicylates,glucocorticoids,and other treatments to manage the condition,but these approaches are associated with certain adverse effects.Traditional Chinese medicine addresses the disease from multiple perspectives and organ systems,achieving notable therapeutic outcomes.This article explores the diagnostic and treatment principles for ulcerative colitis based on the method of"tonifying earth and subduing fire".During the active phase of ulcerative colitis,the root cause lies in the deficiency of the spleen and stomach,while the manifestations involve the downward flow of Yin fire and damage to the intestines by damp-heat.During the remission phase,symptoms include spleen-kidney Yang deficiency and the decline of ministerial fire,reflecting a complex interplay of deficiency and excess.The core of the"tonifying earth and subduing fire"method lies in regulating the ascending and descending functions of the visceral Qi,harmonizing the balance of Yin and Yang,and strengthening the spleen-earth.This approach serves two purposes:first,to tonify the earth and subdue Yin fire,and second,to tonify the earth and support the innate fire.In clinical practice,it is essential to accurately identify the etiology,adhere closely to the pathogenesis,and address both the root and the manifestations.Herbal prescriptions focus on tonifying the earth with sweet-warm herbs to replenish Qi,raising Yang and strengthening the spleen,while subduing fire with sweet-cold herbs to clear heat and eliminate dampness.Additionally,warming Yang and tonifying the kidneys,supporting fire to assist Yang,regulating the liver and spleen,harmonizing Qi and blood,and promoting holistic healing of the body and mind are emphasized.Clinical practice should also incorporate flexible adaptations,including methods to resolve stasis and detoxify,promote wound healing and harmonize blood,and eliminate stagnation to foster renewal.关键词
