Abstract
Objective To conduct a Meta-analysis on the incidence and influencing factors of social frailty in elderly patients attending hospital,and to provide evidence-based basis for medical staff to formulate targeted intervention measures.Methods We searched China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,China Biomedical Literature Database,PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,and CINAHL from inception to August 2025.Stata 15.0 software was used for Meta-analysis.Results A total of 20 studies were included,with a sample size of 7402 cases.Meta-analysis showed that the incidence of social frailty in elderly patients attending hospital was 37%(95%CI:0.28-0.46).Subgroup analysis indicated that the incidence of social frailty was higher in those aged≥65 years,in foreign studies,when using the Makizako social frailty questionnaire as the research tool,and in cohort studies(P<0.05).Meta-analysis of influencing factors showed that age,physical frailty,and depression were risk factors for social frailty in elderly patients attending hospital,while family function and social support were protective factors.Conclusion The incidence of social frailty in elderly patients attending hospital is relatively high and involves many influencing factors.Due to limited stratified data in the included studies,the results should be interpreted with caution.More high-quality stratified studies are needed in the future to confirm the findings.关键词
