Abstract
The"dual perfusion"theory exists for blood flow in the portal venous system,namely the streamline phenomenon(SP):blood from the superior mesenteric vein preferentially flows into the right hepatic lobe,while blood from the splenic vein and inferior mesenteric vein mainly drains into the left hepatic lobe.This phenomenon is widespread in nature.For example,the waters of the Negro River and Solimões River in the Amazon Basin remain stratified and unmixed within 6 kilometers after confluence.The"distinct separation of the Jinghe and Weihe rivers"landscape in China also falls into this category.Portal vein streamlines play a key role in the occurrence and development of various liver diseases.With the deep integration of imaging technologies,specially computational fluid dynamics(CFD),with the medical field,the application potential of portal vein streamlines in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases has become increasingly prominent.This article reviews the mechanisms of the portal vein"dual perfusion"theory,its role in liver diseases,and the application of CFD technology in the hepatic portal system,aiming to provide a theoretical reference for the precision diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.关键词
