温阳止咳法针灸联合西药治疗小儿咳嗽变异性哮喘的疗效观察
Observation on the Clinical Efficacy of Acupuncture Combined with Western Medicine Using the Wenyang Zhike Formula in the Treatment of Pediatric Cough Variant Asthma

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with western medicine using the Wenyang Zhike Formula in the treatment of pediatric cough variant asthma(CVA).Methods A total of 80 pediatric patients definitively diagnosed with CVA and admitted to the pediatric ward of Shenzhen Bao'an District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the study subjects.The patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received conventional western medicine treatment,while the observation group received acupuncture treatment with the Wenyang Zhike Formula in addition to the treatment given to the control group.The treatment duration was 4 weeks.After one month of treatment,the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated,and changes in cough symptom scores,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,pulmonary function,and gut microbiota were observed before and after treatment.Changes in the levels of eosinophils(EOS),interferon-gamma(INF-γ),immunoglobulin A(IgA),and immunoglobulin E(IgE)were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Safety and the occurrence of adverse reactions were also assessed in both groups.Results(1)The total effective rate was 90.00%(36/40)in the observation group and 72.50%(29/40)in the control group,with the observation group demonstrating superior efficacy,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).(2)After treatment,cough symptom scores and TCM syndrome scores in both groups were significantly improved(P＜0.05),and the observation group showed significantly greater improvement in both scores compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).(3)After treatment,pulmonary function in both groups was significantly improved,and the observation group showed significantly greater improvement in pulmonary function indicators compared to the control group(P＜0.05),with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).(4)After treatment,serum levels of EOS,IgE,INF-γ,and IgA in both groups were significantly improved,and the observation group showed significantly greater improvement in EOS,IgE,INF-γ,and IgA levels compared to the control group(P＜0.05),with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).(5)After treatment,the levels of Bifidobacterium,Lactobacillus,and Escherichia coli in the gut of both groups were significantly improved,and the observation group showed significantly greater improvement in the levels of Bifidobacterium,Lactobacillus,and Escherichia coli compared to the control group(P＜0.05),with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).(6)No significant adverse reactions were observed in either group,and there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with western medicine using the Wenyang Zhike Formula in the treatment of pediatric cough variant asthma can significantly alleviate cough symptoms and inflammatory responses,improve pulmonary function,and effectively regulate gut microbiota,demonstrating remarkable clinical efficacy and a favorable safety profile.关键词
