Exploration of the Role of Acupuncture in Pediatric Pneumonia Based on the Theory of Lung-Kidney Mutual Generation

Abstract
The treatment of pediatric pneumonia with the acupuncture method of lung-kidney mutual generation is grounded in classical Chinese medical theory and integrated with clinical practice.It represents an advancement and innovation in acupuncture and has become a distinctive therapeutic approach in pediatric care.When exogenous pathogens invade the lung,the lung loses its dispersing and descending functions,leading to obstruction by pathogenic factors and stagnation of lung qi,which results in pneumonia with cough and dyspnea.As lung qi fails to open,kidney qi is unable to descend,leading to failure of the kidney to grasp qi and worsening of dyspnea.Therefore,the method of ventilating the lung to relieve obstruction,enriching the kidney to nourish the source,and promoting mutual generation between the lung and kidney can serve as an effective approach to guide acupuncture treatment for pediatric pneumonia.This article,based on the theory of lung-kidney mutual generation,explores the therapeutic effects of acupuncture using this principle in pediatric pneumonia,aiming to provide insights for acupuncture treatment in clinical practice,enhance therapeutic outcomes,and offer a theoretical foundation for future investigations into the underlying mechanisms.关键词
