Molecular mechanism of disulfidptosis mediated death and its therapeutic potential in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract
Disulfidptosis death is a novel programmed cell death mechanism discovered in recent years,which involves the ab-normal accumulation of disulfidptosis bonds in cells,leading to the destruction of the actin cytoskeleton and cell death.Research has shown that disulfidptosis death is closely related to oxidative stress,metabolic disorders,and protein homeostasis imbalance,and plays an important role in various diseases.Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a respiratory disease character-ized by persistent airflow limitation and chronic inflammation.Its pathogenesis involves increased oxidative stress,protease antipro-tease imbalance,and abnormal cell death,leading to destruction of alveolar structure and progressive decline in lung function.The oxidative stress microenvironment of COPD partially overlaps with the conditions for the occurrence of disulfidptosis death,and the expression of disulfidptosis death related genes is abnormal in its lung tissue.This article reviews the molecular mechanisms of disulfidptosis death,explores its relationship with COPD,and analyzes the potential value of disulfidptosis death in the treatment of COPD.In addition,this article also discusses the limitations and future directions of current research,laying a theoretical foun-dation for the development of new COPD treatment strategies.关键词
