Analysis and Evaluation of Phenotypic Diversity in Grafted Seedlings of Cerasusconradinae

Abstract
Cerasusconradinae is an endemic ornamental species in China with high aesthetic value and breeding potential.Inorder to investigate the variation patterns and genetic diversity of phenotypic traits in grafted seedlings of C.conradinae,and to promote the selection and breeding of suitable varieties of C.conradinae in Southern China.This study selected 24 grafted seedlings from wild superior germplasms.By measuring phenotypic trait indicators and applying statistical methods such as mean comparison,analysis of variance(ANOVA),correlation analysis,and principal component analysis(PCA),a comprehensive evaluation of phenotypic diversity was conducted.The results showed significant differences among germplasms,with coefficients of variation ranging from 14.16%to 63.09%.Branch number and leaf number exhibited the highest variability,while leaf traits demonstrated strong stability.The Shannon-Wiener diversity index(H')ranged from 1.60 to 2.10,averaging 1.91,indicating rich genetic diversity in the tested germplasms.Correlation analysis revealed that plant height was significantly positively correlated with graft union diameter,leaf numbers,and other traits.PCA extracted four principal components with a cumulative contribution rate of 83.71%,representing plant growth vigor,leaf morphology,and internode lengthcharacteristics.Notably,the germplasm HB069 exhibited optimal performance in plant height,graft union diameterand leaf numbers,indicating that it has high breeding value.关键词
