Abstract

In order to understand the status of pyrethroid pesticide residues in vegetables across Xi'an and assess the dietary exposure risks of residents.3 198 batches of 10 major categories of fresh vegetables were collected in Xi'an from 2022 to 2024.The residual levels of 11 pyrethroid pesticides were detected using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.The dietary exposure evaluated by point evaluation methods.Results showed that,11 types of pyrethroid pesticide residues were detected in 532 batches of vegetable samples,with a detection rate of 16.64%(532/3 198).The detection rate was highest in stem vegetables(31.43%,11/35),and the highest over-standard rate was in root and tuber vegetables(3.16%,8/253).2.66%(85/3 198)of vegetable samples were found to contain residues of two or more pyrethroid pesticides.The chronic dietary exposure risk value(%ADI)and acute dietary exposure risk values(%ARfD)for the 11 pyrethroid pesticides were both less than 100%,and the index of food safety(IFS)were all less than 1.In conclusion,the detection rate and over-standard rate of pyrethroid pesticide residues in vegetables in Xi'an are at a low level.Multiple residues of pyrethroid pesticides have been detected in a vegetable.The dietary intake risks of vegetables monitored are within an acceptable range for the general population.
