炙甘草汤加味治疗老年习惯性便秘41例
Supplemented Honey-Fried Licorice Decoction in the Treatment of Forty-One Cases of Senile Habitual Constipation

Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Supplemented Honey-Fried Licorice Decoction in the treatment of senile habitual constipation.Methods:A total of 82 patients with senile habitual constipation admitted to Henan Integrative Medicine Hospital from Jan-uary 2022 to December 2024 were enrolled and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group using the random number table method,with 41 cases in each group.The control group received Lactulose Oral Solution,while the observation group re-ceived Supplemented Honey-Fried Licorice Decoction in addition to the treatment given to the control group.The constipation symp-toms,bowel function,quality of life,TCM symptom scores,and incidence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.Results:After treatment,the scores for defecation frequency,difficulty of defecation,stool consistency,sensation of incomplete evacuation,and abdominal discomfort in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The time to first flatus and first spontaneous bowel movement in the observation group were shorter than those in the con-trol group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05),while the number of weekly spontaneous bowel movements in the obser-vation group was higher than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The quality of life score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The TCM symptom scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The inci-dence of adverse reactions was 3.16%in the observation group which was lower than 26.04%in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Supplemented Honey-Fried Licorice Decoction can significantly improve defecation and quality of life in the treatment of senile habitual constipation,with a low incidence of adverse reactions,demonstrating high clinical ap-plication value.关键词
