Domestic single-port robot-assisted laparoscopic excision of urachal anomalies:a case report(with surgical video)

Abstract
Urachal anomalies are congenital developmental abnormality affecting the communication channel between the umbilicus and the bladder.In February 2025,a 5-year-old child with urachal anomaly was admitted to Xiaogan Hospital Affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology.The patient underwent a robot-assisted excision of urachal anomalies using domestically produced SHURUI® single-port endoscopic surgical system.The operative time was 90 minutes,with approximately 2 mL of intraoperative blood loss and a 2 cm umbilical incision.Postoperative wound healing was satisfactory,and the child was successfully discharged on the 5th day after surgery.A 6-month postoperative follow-up confirmed uneventful recovery.The application of single-port laparoscopic robot-assisted excision of urachal anomalies in pediatric surgery is safe and feasible.It has advantages of rapid postoperative recovery and aesthetically favorable umbilical incision,making it a valuable approach for clinical adoption.关键词
