摘要

Abstract

To improve the insufficient weak target detection performance of radar-communication integrated sig-nals in low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)environments,a novel multi-carrier linear frequency modulation-continuous phase modulation(LFM-CPM)signal design scheme based on signal reconstruction is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the mathematical models of the multi-carrier LFM-CPM signal and the reconstructed signal are established respectively.Then,a bank of bandpass filters is employed to reconstruct the multi-carrier LFM-CPM signal into a linear frequency-modulated signal.Next,the ambiguity function characteristics and pulse compression performance as well as the perfor-mance of sidelobe suppression after matched filtering are analyzed.Finally,the radar weak target detection performance and communication bit error rate are discussed.Simulation results show that compared with the existing typical integrat-ed waveforms,the proposed multi-carrier LFM-CPM signal achieves a 13 dB improvement in detection probability under low SNR conditions.Meanwhile,while maintaining a communication rate no less than 50%of the 16QAM scheme,the proposed method provides a 4 dB BER performance gain over 16QAM,which show good radar detection and communica-tion capabilities.
