Wind tunnel investigation on the wind-induced vibration and its suppression of cable-supported photovoltaic array

Abstract
Cable-supported photovoltaic array is recently appeared support structure that has gained widespread attention in the PV industry due to its large span,strong adaptability to various terrains,and economic advantages.As a flexible structure,wind-induced vibrations can lead to structural instability or even PV modules damage,which leads to significant threat to PV power stations.To explore its wind-induced vibration characteristics,this study takes a commonly used single-layer cable-supported photovoltaic array as an example.Using wind tunnel tests,it analyzes the wind-induced vibration responses under different wind speeds,wind angles,and validates the effectiveness of vibration suppression measures such as increasing the height-to-span ratio,adding inter-row connections,and installing ground anchors.The results show that the wind-induced vibration increases with wind speeds,and the vibration response is greatest at the midpoint of the span.The wind-induced vibration is also maximized at a 0°wind angle,with the vibration responses during wind suction exceeding that during wind pressure.Increasing the number of inter-row connections,reducing the height-to-span ratio,and installing ground anchors all effectively reduce the wind-induced vibration of the cable-supported photovoltaic array.关键词
