Plankton and Macrobenthic Biological Resources and Their Driving Factors in the National Marine Ranch Area of Dapeng Bay,Shenzhen

Abstract
To understand the status of biological resources and facilitate their rational assessment and utiliza-tion in the national marine ranch area of Dapeng Bay,Shenzhen(hereinafter referred to as the Dapeng Bay area),a biological resource survey was conducted in spring and summer of 2023.Using the Shannon diversity index,the Pielou's evenness index,and redundancy analysis(RDA),this study systematically investigated the water quality characteristics,species composition,dominant species,and the relationship between community diversity and envi-ronmental factors of macrobenthos and plankton.The results showed that:1)Species composition exhibited signifi-cant seasonal variations between spring and summer.Specifically,there were 21 species of macrobenthos in spring and 28 in summer;33 species of zooplankton in spring and 39 in summer;and 45 species of phytoplankton in spring and 51 in summer.2)Community diversity indices displayed different trends:the Shannon diversity index was higher in spring than in summer for macrobenthos and zooplankton,whereas the opposite pattern was observed for phytoplankton.3)Redundancy analysis indicated that water temperature and phosphate concentration were key environmental factors influencing community diversity of biological resources in the area.These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of biological resource density and biodiversity in the Dapeng Bay area,and provide a scientific basis for the sustainable utilization and conservation of biological resources in this marine ranch.关键词
