Developmental threshold temperature and effective accumulated temperature for the pupae of Hylurgus ligniperda

Abstract
To investigate the effects of temperature on the development of Hylurgus ligniperda pupae,the developmental threshold temperature and effective accumulative temperature were investigated.The development duration of the pupae was observed at 15.0,17.5,20.0,22.5,25.0℃,respectively.The developmental threshold temperature and the effective accumulated temperature of pupae were calculated by least-squares method,based on law of effective temperature.The Logistic curve model was utilized to fit the relationship between developmental rate and temperature,the optimum temperature and suitable temperature range for pupal development were calculated.The results indicated that the developmental duration of pupae of H.ligniperda was shortened with the increase of temperature in the range of 15-25℃.The developmental threshold temperature of pupae was(10.629±0.897)℃,and the effective accumulated temperature was(98.468±8.801)℃·d.The optimum temperature for pupal development was 23.71℃,with a suitable temperature range from 12.83℃to 34.58℃.The results can provide a scientific basis for predicting the occurrence period of H.ligniperda adult.关键词
