Application and challenges of species distribution models in predicting potential suitable habitat area for forest invasive alien species
摘要
Abstract
The species distribution models(SDMs),represented by the maximum entropy(MaxEnt)model and ensemble ecological niche models(Biomod2),have been widely used to predict the potential distribution of forest invasive species.However,constrained by inherent limitations in model assumptions,data collection,and the still-evolving understanding of statistical methods,SDMs have yet to realize their full potential in guiding practical applications.In light of this,the fundamental principles,typical applications,and main methodologies of SDMs were reviewed.Building on this foundation,the key issues encountered in applying MaxEnt and Biomod2 to predict the potential distribution of forest invasive species were summarized.Corresponding improvements and directions were proposed,including:strengthening research on the basic biology of invasive species and their population-level environmental adaptation mechanisms,improving data collection methods and incorporating diverse data sources,optimizing model parameters and refining regularization and feature combination strategies,and flexibly adjusting suitability thresholds.关键词
