老年频繁急性加重慢性阻塞性肺疾病患者症状经历与核心需求的质性研究
Symptom Experience and Core Needs of Elderly Patients with Frequent Acute Exacerbations of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease:a Qualitative Study

Abstract
Objective To explore the symptom experience and core needs of elderly patients with frequent acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Using purposive sampling method,16 elderly patients with frequent acute exacerbations of COPD admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from October 2024 to February 2025 were selected as the research subjects for semi-structured interviews.Colaizzi 7-step analysis method was used to summarize and extract the interview data.Results Three core themes and eight subthemes were identified:(1)symptoms and characteristics during acute exacerbation episodes(symptoms during acute exacerbation episodes,frequent and unpredictable acute exacerbations);(2)various troubles caused by frequent acute exacerbations(difficulty in expressing illness and loss of dignity,decreased self-care ability and social limitations,high psychological pressure and a sense of priceless value);(3)unmet core needs(obtain sufficient medical support,ensure convenient medical treatment and professional rehabilitation services;enhance family caregiving capacity and obtain temporary caregiving support;emotional comfort needs and living with dignity).Conclusion Elderly patients with frequent acute exacerbations of COPD have complex symptom events and difficulties,while also facing unmet core needs.关键词
