铁路企业主导下可变轨距车辆基于多维成本的经济性分析
Economic Analysis of Variable-Gauge Vehicles Based on Multi-Dimensional Costs under Leadership of Railway Enterprises

Abstract
To evaluate the application value of variable-gauge vehicles,a multi-stakeholder economic analysis framework covering shippers,railway enterprises,and society was established.A total cost difference estimation model from the railway enterprise perspective was developed,integrating vehicle procurement,station construction,and daily operation costs.Two representative cases were selected for empirical calculation:Khorgos(existing station retrofitting)and Makmal(new station construction).The results show that the adoption of variable-gauge vehicles has significant cost advantages for new stations.For existing stations,cost savings are achievable only when the annual number of cross-border freight trains exceeds a specific threshold;however,this threshold decreases further when the reduced capital occupancy costs of shippers due to a shorter transit time are considered.This paper provides a quantitative basis for decision-making on whether to adopt this technology under different scenarios.关键词
