Digital Rural Construction,High Quality Urban-Rural Integration and Common Prosperity of Farmers and Rural Areas

Abstract
With the continuous iteration and deep popularization of digital technology,digital rural construction empowers ru-ral industrial upgrading and equalization of public services through digital means.It can bridge the urban-rural digital divide and activate the endogenous driving force of rural development,and it is also a key driving force for realizing the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas.Taking 30 provinces in China as the research objects and setting the research period from 2015 to 2024,this paper uses the benchmark regression model and mediating effect model to systematically test the impact effect of digital rural construction on the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas,and then deeply analyzes the mechanism of high quality ur-ban-rural integration therein.The results show that digital rural construction can effectively promote the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas,and this conclusion still holds after a series of robustness and endogeneity tests.The results of the mediat-ing effect test show that high quality urban-rural integration is an important channel through which digital rural construction posi-tively affects the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas,that is,digital rural construction empowers the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas by promoting high-quality urban-rural integration.The results of the heterogeneity analysis show that the impact of digital rural construction on the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas varies in terms of region and func-tion.Specifically,the promotion effect of digital rural construction on the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas in the east-ern region and major grain-consuming areas is the strongest,while that in the western region and areas with balanced grain pro-duction and sales is the weakest.关键词
