Abstract

[Objective]This research aims to promote the utilization of sludge products as resources in stony mountainous forest land,to provide scientific application basis for the rapid and efficient growth of newly planted Pinus tabuliformis.[Method]With 8-year-old P.tabuliformis trees from the Muchengjian Branch of the Beijing Jingxi Forest Farm Management Office as experimental materials,an in-situ field experiment was con-ducted in stony mountainous areas.With no sludge product application(0 kg/plant)as the control(CK),four application gradients were established:16 kg/plant(T1),32 kg/plant(T2),48 kg/plant(T3),and 64 kg/plant(T4).[Result]①The application of sludge products could promote the growth of P.tabuliformis.The highest increases in the tree height and crown projection area were observed in T2 treatment,which were 7.0%and 42.0%,respectively.The highest increase in the diameter at breast height of P.tabuliformis was observed in T1 treatment,which was 47.1%.②With the increase in the application rate of sludge products and the passage of time,the contents of photosynthetic pigments in the needles of P.tabuliformis increased significantly.The high-est contents of total chlorophyll,chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and carotenoids were observed under the T4 treat-ment in September,which were 1.67,1.25,0.42 and 0.44 mg/g respectively.③Compared with CK,the con-tents of TN and TP in the needles of P.tabuliformis under all sludge product treatments increased significantly in each month,while the content of TK decreased.The content of TP under each treatment generally decreased over time,while the contents of TN and TK first decreased and then increased.④Compared with CK,the high-est content of soluble sugar(84.63 mg/g)was observed under the T2 treatment in September.The highest in-crease in the contents of soluble protein and proline under the T4 treatment was observed in July and May,which were 67.5%and 105.2%,respectively.The content of soluble sugar under each treatment decreased first and then increased over time,while the content of soluble protein increased first and then decreased.And the con-tent of proline had no obvious change pattern.⑤Compared with CK,no significant diffe-rence was observed in the contents of Cu and Zn under sludge product application.The contents of Pb and Ni increased significantly in each month,while the content of Hg decreased significantly.The contents of Cu,Zn and Pb under each treat-ment decreased first and then increased over time,while the contents of Ni and Hg continued to decrease.⑥The results of membership function analysis indicated that the comprehensive ranking of the growth and physiological conditions of P.tabuliformis under different treatments was T2>T1>T3>T4>CK,indicating that the appli-cation of 32 kg/plant of sludge product had the greatest promotive effect.[Conclusion]The application of sludge products can enhance the growth of P.tabuliformis in stony mountainous areas,with the optimal dosage of 32 kg/plant demonstrating the most significant improvement in both growth and physiological characteristics.
