Abstract
An innovative IsoI2C(isolated inter-integrated circuit)daisy chain communication design scheme is proposed for the battery packs of small energy storage devices and electric bicycles.The scheme adopts a ring-shaped daisy chain topology;on the basis of the I2C communication protocol,the scheme realizes handshaking with the host;in addition,it realizes inter-chip communication by a differential IsoI2C interface,so as to enhance the anti-interference capability.This paper designs a communication frame format according to I2C communication characteristics,and achieves data synchronization recovery between chips by Manchester encoding.In terms of data checking,parity check is used to replace the CRC(cyclic redundancy check)in the traditional daisy chain architecture,so as to reduce communication redundancy and improve transmission efficiency.In comparison with the daisy chain solution based on IsoSPI(isolated serial peripheral interface)or IsoUART(isolated universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter)in the BMSs of electric vehicles,this design is more suitable for the small-scale energy storage devices and electric bicycles which require fewer battery cells,have compact packaging,and are sensitive to cost.The error rate measured by simulation and error rate test of FPGA platform is 3.1×10-5,which verifies the functional integrity and data transmission stability of the communication architecture.The experiments show that the proposed scheme can achieve reliable data transmission,so it provides a new idea and reference for the optimization design of small-sized BMSs systems.关键词
