Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the incidence of depressive symptoms among empty-nest elderly in China.Methods Cross-sectional studies on the incidence of depressive symptoms among emp-ty-nest elderly in China were retrieved from PubMed,EMbase,Web of Science,the Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,and China Biology Medicine database.A meta-analysis was performed using Stata 15.0 software.Results A total of 42 articles involving 55 271 patients were included.The meta-analysis showed that the incidence of depressive symptoms among empty-nest elderly in China was 39.0%(95%CI 0.32-0.46).There was statistically significant difference in the incidence of depressive symptoms among empty-nest elderly with different baseline characteristics(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of depressive symptoms among empty-nest elderly in China is high,and there are significant differences across populations with differ-ent characteristics.关键词
